Your carrots
In a classic parent-child duel, I tried to get Breanna to eat the carrots on her plate…
Eat your carrots, Bre.
No thank you, carrots.
You need to eat your carrots, sweetie. They’re good for you.
But I don’t WANT to eat the carrots, Daddy.
Eat your carrots, please.
Then came the toddler quote of the day….
She lowered her voice and slowly said…
But I CAN’T TASTE them, Daddy!
Of course what she meant was that she didn’t like the way they tasted. But her way of saying it is so much cuter.
Is it a challenge for you to get your kid(s) to eat certain healthy foods? If so, how do you make it happen?

Sometimes just changing the texture a bit, like cutting the carrots into matchstick size pieces, will appeal to toddlers. Grate them into soups or something else cooking or they sometimes like making fruits and veggies into faces or spiders or something. Hey! I’ll bet she could taste carrot cake! lolol

Thanks mom! I’ll have to try your idea about cutting the carrots into matchstick size pieces. Then hopefully she’ll eat them and I can have the carrot cake all to myself!
