Name advice

New parents, I can’t stress this enough: You need to think twice before naming your kid. Maybe three times. Or four.
Back in January, I gave you the Top 5 Tips for Naming Your Baby. I think it’s time for me to pull this one out of the archives and recommend that you read it again. I heard a few names this week that I couldn’t believe.
The name you give your child will likely stick with him or her for life. Be smart. Be kind. Don’t make your kid suffer through elementary, middle and high school until she becomes old enough to go to the courthouse and change her name. Please.
After all, your kid might want to become a professional when she grows up. Would the name you are considering look right on a business card?

Alas it won’t matter… my girls last name will still be Grubb, until they get married that is. It took 3 baby name books and the internet before we finally got a short list. It can be tough, but 9 months is plenty of time.

Too funny – you heard names you couldn’t believe! Well, I see kids doing things I can’t believe. I’d like a post on discipline and good behavior too please

Half-kidding, Brian. Great stuff. I have my babies names picked out already in case I ever have any! Classic and timeless for sure!
